Solo Mall Adventure

Yesterday I put my face on, got dressed, got my stuff together and my gecko Bubblegum and I headed off to Kingsway Mall! Why was I bringing my gecko, you ask? She went to a new home yesterday, and I was passing her off to someone to bring her to her new mommy!

Whilst getting ready I decided to finally try a mascara sample I had gotten a few months back from Sephora in my birthday gift when I signed up for their membership card. The mascara is Makeup Forever's Professional- Paris in Smoky Extravagant; at least that's what I think the name is, ha.

This mascara is pretty freaking fantastic even though at first I was intimidated by the HUGE brush, like holy! I don't think I've ever seen a mascara with a brush this large, or this shape.

After I got over my hesitations about size (cough) I tried it and it's absolutely fantastic! No clumps and my lashes looked great! I have pretty full, long lashes normally but this just made them pop and I think I'll definitely be buying the full-size of this one once I run out of the sample. :)
While I was at the mall, and since I had some extra $$$ from selling one of my geckos, I decided to take a look in a few stores while I was there. Can you guess what they were? :P

No, it wasn't Footlocker, lol.

First, I stopped in at Lush (which you might be surprised to find out I've never even been in that store before!). The lady that was working there was really nice and both employees were stunned that I had never even been in a Lush before, hahaha. So she explained how Lush worked and showed me where different products were in the store and explained what some of them were. It smelled strongly in there but really, really good! I wanted to buy like, every bath bomb they had but I decided to pass for now (I don't even have baths that often, but I would with these!). Here is what I got!
Crappy photos, I know, but I didn't feel like getting out my nice camera, ha.

So, if you can't see in the photo I got a Facial Moisturizer and Lip Scrub from Lush, and then a Makeup Setting Spray and Primer from SEPHORA (gasp! I know). I may have a small problem with buying ALL THE THINGS from Sephora now....

BUT, onwards and upwards.... the only thing I've gotten to try out of yesterdays haul is the Lush stuff. I am 100% now a Lush fan and I'll definitely be going back to try other stuff! The lip scrub works amazingly, smells divine, and tastes delicious! My lips have never been so soft and it's so much easier than trying to pick off dead skin (eww). The Imperialis Moisturizer is really, really nice; right now I'm using Mary Kay (which I'll use until it's used up) but I really don't want to be having to order product online all the time and wait for it to arrive.

I LOVE that Lush is all hand-made products and are focused on getting as much of their ingredients being fair-trade, etc. The fact that they aren't completely "modernized" to the point that they don't care about their products is great! I want to try their fresh face masks next, especially since I've been wanting to get a good face mask lately to try and help with break outs (especially around "that" time of the month).

So that's my review on my recent purchases and experiments with new products, thanks for reading! Stay tuned for when my Vice3 palette and my Bulletproof brows arrive, so freaking excited!
